Now that we have seen the non-conference portion of the schedule, how many wins do you think the Gophers will have during the regular season BIG stretch of games?

Will we get either Vaihola or Omot back? If so, and the rest of the rotation stays healthy, I could see 9 or 10.

If not, we'll be lucky to get to 7.

Did you happen to see the Jokic injury last night? That looked similar to Vaihola's. A lot of speculation this AM that it's a hyperextension.

If that's the case, we can probably roughly extrapolate how much time Jokic misses to Vaihola.

We need him badly for the screens as much as the boards and the defensive presence.

Month for jokic. If vaihola matched that we'd be lucky

In their current state 5-6 seems about right. If we get Viahola and Omot into the mix at some point that could bump up a little.

On the flip side, any additional injuries could completely derail things given that we are basically limited to a 7 man rotation at the moment. If Cade Tyson has to miss any time we are completely screwed.

This is probably the first and last time ever that Vaihola gets compared to the Joker.

I think we’ll win 8, which gives Niko the symbolic victory of improving over Ben

I chose 5-6, with the limited roster we have right now. If we get those two guys back could be 7-8, but I don’t see much more than that.

Obviously, the first week of January has been much more favorable for this team than anticipated at the end of 2025.

What I really hoped this team could do was win 9 conference regular season games to end up with at least a winning regular season record (16-15) but I had significant doubts that would be accomplished. After winning our first two games of the year, that requires only a 6-10 finish and that seems much more probable now. Even a 17-14 regular season record requires only a 7-9 finish.

If we can sweep this 3-game home stand (Iowa, USC, Wisconsin), we would be in great shape going forward. We defeated the highest rated of those three but games are always about matchups and I don't know yet if we'll match up as well against the next two as we seemed to match up against Iowa. Should be exciting! After that, the schedule gets tough: Illinois and OSU on the road and undefeated Nebraska at home.

I think Becky will be a very tough matchup for our guys. Plus their depth is a concern. But let’s play the game!

I voted 5-6 and at this point it would be really disappointing if they don't at least reach that. If the remaining 7 can stay healthy a record much closer to .500 in conference play is definitely a possibility.

Going to be some rough nights with our lack of depth but has been fun to see how well the 7 we have play together. Hopefully can keep stacking home wins in order to get people excited about the program and turn the Barn back into the great home environment it can be.
