So, I'm going to be in Ohio for the Packer game vs the Browns the weekend of the 24th and 25th. (Please don't turn this into a Gopher fans should be Vikings fans debate, that goes about as far as the beer in TCF or band marching down University conversation.) I'm driving from Green Bay, leaving about 10 PM Friday. Last year we left in time to make it to Nashville on Saturday in time to find a bar to watch the Gophers game vs. Northwestern, ugh, and then checked into our hotel, took a nap and hit up the town. The game in Columbus leaves us an exciting opportunity, and I'm just wondering how much of a hassle it would be. I'm now thinking instead of driving to Cleveland on Friday night/Saturday early morning and watching the Gophs on TV, of driving to Columbus, going to the game, and driving to Cleveland in time to check into our hotel, take a nap, and hit the town.
Questions:
1. How easy or hard would it be to find a pair of tickets to the game.
2. How easy or hard a drive would it be to Cleveland with the traffic after an tOSU game?
3. How welcoming are the tOSU fans? (I'm assuming I'll deal with enough crap in Cleveland)
4. Any Cleveland advice from anyone that has been there? We're staying downtown at the lakefront doubletree.
