Tim Tebow

You call Weber a leader? Nice guy, maybe, but he sure as H is no leader. Maybe by Minnesota standards he is a leader (oh, he's a good shlt), but not by any reasonable standard for college football. He is not a leader in the huddle, not a leader on the sidelines, not a vocal leader, and not warrior. OK, have at it boys, rip me for my opinion, but my opinion mirrors that of some pretty inside people. He looks confused and bewildered a good share of the time, and does not learn through his experiences. If you call that a leader, then you are completely ignorant.

Not a warrior? Playing days after surgery (and winning no less, @ Illinois) sounds pretty tough to me. He takes a lot of shots with that O line, and always seems to go hard into tackles.

I've always been a pretty tough critic on Weber. I'm not completely sure about his leadership skills, that is something that is hard to judge on the outside, but he seems vocal at times. It certainly doesn't seem like he is a bad leader, maybe just a bad player. But I'm really struggling to see how you can say he isn't tough.

BTW, I like how you invited criticism (in an effort to discredit it), touted inside sources, and ended with hyperbole. Usually I see one or two in a post, but rarely the trifecta! Nice!

Russell = 11 NBA titles
Weber = 14 - 24 (6-18) as a starter

I don't know who is the better leader, but it is a dumb comparison on any level

Nobody is comparing Adam Weber and Bill Russell. The whole point was that people who think they can judge Weber's leadership by looking at him from the stands are delusional. Also do you suppose that Red Auerbach, Tommie Heinsohn, Bob Cousy, John Havlicek, KC Jones, Sam Jones, Satch Sanders and others I can't remember had something to do with Boston's organizational success? Russell wasn't exactly working with a deficiency of resources but I suppose if he didn't have them he would have been judged a terrible leader by all the insiders in the stands.

Someone brought up his name, and it was dumb to. That was my point.
Weber may be the best leader in gopher history for all I know. If he is a leader, he definitely doesn't lead by example, unless he is trying to lead his team to below average play.

If I were you I would check my reading comprehension skills before I started calling things dumb. Again, I never compared/contrasted Bill Russell with Adam Weber in any way, shape or form. If that is beyond you then my point isn't what's dumb.
