Tim Connelly for MVP. We don’t win without any of the dudes he has traded for!

The KAT trade worked out. It took 50-60 games, but Randle figured out his role. He's arguably a better fit than KAT. He's better with the ball in his hands, and he's a better creator, which takes a lot of pressure off of Ant.

Donte helps fill the role of the aging Conley, along with NAW.

Kat is still the better player, but getting Donte was important for what you stated.

Counting other trades to balance out the Rudy deal when the trades were made in different years and that we still owe them another 1st rounder doesn’t really make this accurate unless you actually win something. Ya know, the goal

Sure but NBA teams are always making trades. Rarely does a team just make 1 and that's it.

Even if you want to look at this one in a vacuum, Utah has not benefitted at all so far from the Rudy trade. They have progressively gotten worse and are now the worst team in the league.

The Wolves are already in the midst of their best back to back seasons in franchise history. They had the #8 pick in last years draft, and have 1st round draft picks in 3 of the next 4 drafts. They are a championship level team with a young core that can compete for years to come.

The jazz are still in purposeful keep it blown up territory right now. Kessler is an all rookie first team. They needed to blow it up and get picks and did so (their drafting has been more suspect).

The KAT trade he seems to have put some pieces in play to meld a roster and keep building.

The total fleecing of la with the Russell trade was the other huge move to me.

Connelly has crushed it in assembling this roster for right now though. 2027 and beyond they’re going to have to get some things figured out which is what the future means. I think we’ll be fine as you have a generational talent in ant. Will be fun to see what they can assemble around him. And if you win a title, doesn’t matter if you suck after (not saying they will), it’s worth it

I like that Connelly is willing to take big swings to try win and wouldn’t trade him for any GM. The snarky nature of the tweet just seems silly when really it’s what you’re saying, a multitude of moves to get here and we still have yet to win anything

The keys this offseason will be what happens with Randle and Reid and how much Clark, Dillingham, and Shannon improve.

I'm still a little confused on why the Jazz blew it up in the first place. They had a young star Donovan Mitchell, who's the best player on the 1 seed in the east, and Rudy, who was in his upper 20s and a DPOY, who's now helping the Wolves be one of the best teams in the west.

Kessler is nothing special IMO. He has marginally improved over 3 years and has had injury issues. I pretty much agree with everything else you wrote.

I thought KAT was too distracting as an offensive player because so many plays were designed for KAT. I think that unbalanced offense created too many issues like drafting or trading players based on his needs and skills. You could see Connolly resist that when prior to the trade he began shedding the KAT bit players.
