Tim Brewster is working to mold Australian rugby star into NFL TE

Never claimed to be, nor did I insult Brewster's coaching credentials. I guess no one can have fun.

No jokes, no making fun of a coach who performed horribly at his job and set our program back, nothing. Let's just complain about everyone else's post. Schadenfreude has been banned from the message boards.
Your posts in this thread consist of saying "HAHAHAHAHA" a bunch of times, a broken image, saying people don't know how to fun, and this post. You didn't make any jokes, just laughed. And even if you consider that "making fun of" the majority of the first page is just calling Tim Brewster an idiot and saying he knows nothing about football. That's not making fun of, that's just bashing.

"A lot of coaches shy away from guys who haven't played the game because it is an exhausting process. To me, that's the exciting part. Taking a piece of clay like that. And I am going to tell you Hayden Smith is one beautiful piece of clay. Just mold him into what you want him to be."

Please read this in Brewster-voice and try to not find it hilarious. It's his usual, car salesman-type pitch.

Oh yeah, I forgot, you're not allowed to say someone sucks at their job around here.

Just lock this thread up before it gets more ridiculous.

If there's one thing I'd trust Brewster with, it is grooming a tight end. That's where he needs to be and that's where he should stay. He's not head coach material, okay, but this dude knows a thing or two about that tight end position. There's a reason he's gotten NFL jobs doing it.

Though again, his words probably oversell what this guy actually has to offer, which is what got him into trouble here as well. But that enthusiasm will take him a long way toward getting this guy to the level he thinks he can be at no doubt.

+1. Brewster is a helluva tight ends coach, and I'll bet that Hayden Smith is a starting NFL tight end within a few years if he sticks with it.

Brewster was a bust as a head coach, but by all accounts he was a good tight ends coach. There's nothing funny about him doing what he was good at. Wacker was a bust, but he was good at the I-AA level, if he had gone back to SW Texas State after being fired here, what would have been funny about that?

Man, some of you people are children. I'm sorry that Tim Brewster caused you so much pain and heartache.

I am also sorry that Tim Brewster caused me so much pain and heartache. That 1-11 campaign was absolutely brutal.

I think everyone welcomes jokes, but that doesn't mean that we have to think all jokes are funny. Typing "HAHA" 400 times in a row isn't funny (to me). I'm not opposed to you making that joke, but if your jokes don't get better I can't promise that you'll get any laughs.
