Outside of StubHub, where are people going? Prices are nuts but craigslist? Never gone there before and unsure what to trust..

I’d be hesitant with Craigslist obviously. Looking like the get-in price is $250+

Prices on stubhub dropped to about the $190-200/range sometime in the last two hours.

I wouldn't buy tickets from Craigslist with your money.

Places like Seat Geek and Vivid Seats are reputable, but you're not going to trick anyone into giving you cheap seats regardless of what legitimate site you use.

I would trust a Craigslist seller if it was a hard ticket (not a printout), met at a Starbucks or other public place and settled in cash. Otherwise no - it doesn’t take much work to make dozens of copies of ticket printouts or pdf files to sell either in person or online. The ticket may be “legit,” but only the first one into the stadium will get to use it.

Usually had good luck at craigslist. Pay with PayPal and you should be ok. Put a deposit on some with PP. When guy or whomever wouldn't deliver PP got my deposit back. UW ATO said they had no record of that person ever buying tix.

I've bought and sold a decent amount of tickets on craigslist and have never had an issue.

Ditto. First of all, ignore any listings that seem too good to be true, even if they include extraneous details like, "Can't make it to the game due to family issues..." and crap like that. If the price is way too low, just ignore it.

Second, contact the person to make sure they've got hard tickets in hand -- not a printout.

Third, always meet in person at a public place and do a cash transaction. Don't send money via any online payment method, regardless of the person's guarantees of "buyer protections." It's bogus.

Like cemba, I've gotten great deals on Craigslist following these steps. Good luck!

I was looking for tickets to the Penn State game on Craig's List and it was a huge waste of time. Each possible transaction starts with waiting for the person to respond and most ended with them telling me to transfer them money and then they would transfer the E-Ticket to my Ticketmaster app. Red flag!

I went with SeatGeek the night before the game and got a decent price on some seats in the lower bowl. That would be my recommendation.

I transfer my tickets through the ticket office, so I require the money sent by PayPal or Venmo first. I've never scammed anyone (at least not about tickets).

Why? Craigslist is a great place to buy and sell tickets, I use it all the time.

Lot of scams run on Craigslist. No buyer protection.

I've used it a lot but would want to meet in person and get physical tickets. Even then, there are ways to be scammed.

Agree about the meet in a public place part, but why would you do cash? Once that cash is out of your hand, it's gone. You have no recourse. At least if you write a check you can cancel it, or if you pay online with a credit card you can claim fraud and have it investigated.

Exactly. I contacted a few people on Craigslist yesterday (cheaper than Stubhub) and all three were sketchy. Wanted me to send money via Zello and then they would transfer via Ticketmaster. What??

The hard ticket is a good safeguard, but be aware that the tickets can now be transferred electronically which invalidates the barcode on the original ticket. You might have better luck eventually tracking down the miscreant who sold you bad tickets, but it would be a hassle.

On a positive note, we’ve learned from prior threads that they only actually scan a portion of the tickets presented, so you might get in anyway. ?

What are the odds of getting a scalped ticket outside TCF day of game? Thats a lot of money to exchange on the street, but I'd like to make the trip up from Madison if I thought I could get something for a bit less than 200.

Stubhub right now is down to $174. With fees that probably comes out at around $200. Potentially it could drop a bit lower over the holiday.

All of the complaints esrlier this year about the 'value' of season tickets vs buying on the secondary market, pizza sales, etc is looking interesting.

My tickets and booze are on the counter and looking forward to Saturday!

I'd sure as hell rather me complaining about too expensive of tickets than the alternatives.

I have my tickets and there ain't a price I'd sell them for.

I have 2 in section 211. will be tough to make it down from Duluth with weather. paid 175.00 each on craigslist. if anyone wants them can have them for what I paid
