[TICKETS REMAINING TRACKING THREAD] - How many seats are unsold vs MD, PSU and WIS?

Quit Complaining

Is it time to point out that the digital ticket plan came to $28/game and other season ticket plans come to $35/game? State fair sale was $10/ticket. There are cheaper ticket options for families of many income levels to attend. Demanding every ticket be cheap for the biggest game in many, many years seems odd to me.

I agree with your post. There has been plenty of opportunities this season for families of many income levels to attend. It just so happens that the two biggest games left on the schedule are not only the biggest games this year, but potentially in the History of the stadium. Do people get upset because they can't get into a Vikings, Twins, or Wild playoff game for less than $200 per ticket? Why should a game of this magnitude be any different? Either Dive deep into the wallet or watch from home. No need to spread hate or bash. I wish United Airlines could make it more affordable for my family to fly. Curse Those A Holes!

Some of you people are just ridiculous.

So according to swingman. There is only about 1500 seats left?

Swingman has been putting out updates by pieces of the stadium. Upper deck, shady side had like 3,300 available when he counted. There was someone in this thread, might of even been the op, that had written a code to count all the available seats. I don’t think I saw his update on Wednesday, but on Monday or Tuesday there was just under 10K left. I believe it was over 12k available before the Maryland game

Those games sell out...

Incorrect pricing leaving seats empty for huge games is not the fault of the fans.

I hate to beat a dead horse but the AD has to be more concerned about total football revenue not filling the stadium with low priced tickets.
FB revenue is needed to support the team, coaches, non revenue sports and recruiting costs.
The WI program did not fill the stadium until after the first Rose Bowl. That may be what it will take at MN.

Just took advantage of the Cub Family 4 pack for this game. Tickets and lunch for $70/head including fees isn’t terrible for this type of matchup.

sunny side lower deck tickets left:

Your right but the difference is we have a very small stadium. Win conference titles, win Rose Bowls and the apathy will be gone.

Will be interesting to see what happens in the next week with cold temperatures in the long-term forecast. Wouldn't be surprised either way at this point regarding a sellout -- but I would say with confidence that there will be 50k+ tickets sold / less than 2,000 unsold tickets.

Just bought a single for my one brother that didn’t get season tickets, so this is already outdated! :)

Still over a week to go, but the market is currently shouting. It will be interesting to see what happens between now and game time. Currently, 15.6% of the stadium is unsold for the biggest game in the target market fans' lifetimes.

I hate to beat a dead horse but the AD has to be more concerned about total football revenue not filling the stadium with low priced tickets.

The WI program did not fill the stadium until after the first Rose Bowl. That may be what it will take at MN.

I must have missed all our Rose Bowls prior to sell outs in TCF Bank Stadium a few years ago.

Did we win?

I just added a ratty $45 maroon parka to my already expensive ticket. Stupid "Maroon Out".

The game is 10 days away still, what will it say if the game is a sellout?

It will say the department ran some deep discounts. That will really piss off those that paid full price. When you incorrectly price from the start, you put yourself in a bad spot.

135: 20 at $115
133: 70 at $115

By any slim slim chance anyone remember what ticket prices were for the TCU game? What an atmosphere.

So, I'm no math major, but we've sold 2,158 tickets between the 27th and today, which equates to around 105 hours. Doing the math on that, the tickets are selling at a pace of around 21 tickets per hour. Considering there are around 218 hours remaining between the time of the last check and 11:00am next Saturday, at that pace, we would sell another 4,469 tickets, leaving around 3,500 tickets still on the table.

The pace will likely pick up next week, but it's going to have to do better than this if there is going to be a full house on November 9.

By any slim slim chance anyone remember what ticket prices were for the TCU game? What an atmosphere.

I was there and they were WAY cheaper...they had that promotion through that 3rd party site that kept a count of how many sold there. I can't remember the price ($20 maybe) but they had to have sold 1,000 or more through there. I would just refresh that site 100 times a day at work and fist pump if it went up at all.

That was easily the most amped up environment I've been at at the Bank but I only get to 1 or 2 games a year.

How many student seats are there now? Is it still 10K? I’m assuming when it is quoted how many tickets are left that isn’t including the student section.

So there are two simultaneous battles being fought here: coaxing general public to purchase expensive tickets and convincing students to snap up the cheap student tickets.

Some here have suggested the student section might actually be full. That’s great, I hope that is true. But it still looks unlikely to me that the public tickets will sell out. Argh!

Is it my imagination or am I right that I can't see main.py's code to dork with the API myself?

For all the doubters and the haters of this data, of which there are many, here's a link to the raw data as of now:

And here's the raw data for the above sections mentioned by swingman. Notice how the field labeled "cn" for each section ties almost exactly to what swingman counted by hand:

Can someone convert that to JavaScript? :)

The pace will likely pick up next week, but it's going to have to do better than this if there is going to be a full house on November 9.
ehh close enough

By any slim slim chance anyone remember what ticket prices were for the TCU game? What an atmosphere.

I upgraded my seats for that game and paid about $100 per seat to sit in the first 10 rows at the 50 on the home side.

The same tickets today are retailing for $255.

More importantly, TCU was:
- A night game
- The first game of the season
- About 80 degrees and sunny at kickoff

People looked at me like I was nuts for paying $100 for that game.
Now the all-in price is 2.5x, the game starts at 11:00am, and it's going to be below freezing.

The ticket office is currently charging more for bench seats in the corner than I paid for chair-backs seats at the 50.
