I have had 4 in section 114 for sale for $75 on the gopher ticket site. Your buddy needed to shop around. Still have 2 left
 

Fans on the I-O-W-A Rivals site are motivated to travel but the GopherSports tix cost are too pricey. Some are thinking the price will crash on gameday and are going to take the gamble. Anecdotal only but methinks the Hawks will travel for this one.

- 40k butts in seats attendance with 1k Iowa fans
- 52k butts in seats attendance with 13k Iowa fans

I do think our prices keep some of the "rough around the edges" Iowa fans from traveling here. They were numerous in the old dome days.

You mean the people who could only spell Iowa if they looked down at the front of their shirt?

I'm not a season ticket holder so I usually get my tickets from GopherSports and will go to StubHub as well. In my experience, GopherSports never lowers the price. Sellers on StubHub might, but by the time they do you're rushing to get to the stadium. I've also seen prices stay the same there, too.
At the same time fans are waiting for the price to drop, sellers are still holding out hope they'll still get at least face value, especially for a game like this. Rutgers, NW, Indiana would be a different story.
I am guessing the cold will keep most Iowans from venturing north. But I'm afraid the ones that do show up will be the drunk, no-shirt crowd. I think we'll see a handful of terrible beards and some lifted pickup trucks with Iowa plates driving around the stadium looking for a place to fit their rides.
