Thought it Was Only Colleges That Can't Sell "Bowl" Tickets?

????? What a ridiculous take.

I have never heard it anything OTHER than just how you described. If there's a chance at the playoffs, you pay for the max possible home games and if it doesn't happen, that money goes towards next season's Season Ticket purchase. That's how it works. Period.

It's not MY take. I'm just repeating a story I read on the topic. And apparently the policy of putting the money towards the following season's tickets was always an option, but there was a refund option as well. It's not the norm, but the Packers apparently were not the only team to offer both options. According to the story, this was the first year that this was the case.

Boo-hoo. When I was a Vikings season ticket holder they never offered a refund. It was the same deal. Yet all I ever heard is how fickle Viking fans were and how great Packer fans are. I don't fault anyone for not wanting to spend that much money, to each their own. But I grow tired of the "Packer fans are the best ever" mantra.

I remember Packer fans making fun of Minnesotans when we struggled to fill up the Phili playoff game.

According to Sid we never sold out a playoff game at the Met.

That was hilarious when the Vikings were trying to sell out that Eagles game. Of course the dome holds about 18,000 less than Lambeau field.

Deadline extended until 4 pm today. 3,000 packer tickets left.

Yep, Fox TV stations stepped-up and so did a few other groups not in Green Bay proper.

In addition to fan sales, a group of Packers corporate partners, led by Green Bay-based Associated Bank, purchased the remaining available tickets Friday to ensure a sellout and TV broadcast of the game throughout Wisconsin. Other corporate partners with a strong Wisconsin presence that purchased tickets are FOX TV affiliates WITI (Milwaukee), WLUK (Green Bay) and WFXS (Wausau); Mills Fleet Farm and Bellin Health.
