Thom Wynn: Gophers Hockey Team Hits Back Hard, Avoids a Badgering with 4-1 Win

After losing 3-1 to Wisconsin Friday night in hockey, and watching the football team lose to the Badgers Saturday afternoon in Minneapolis, the University of Minnesota was looking at the possibility of a weekend sweep at the hands of their longtime nemesis. It would be up to the Gopher hockey team to salvage something from the weekend Border Battle, and they did just that, returning to their winning ways Saturday night, by beating Bucky by the score of 4-1 in front of 13,149 red menaces at the Kohl Center in Madison.
