This was a play the Refs missed at a critical time

Whoever said that the refs called what they saw is correct. It just so happened that any questionable call they gave in Michigan's favor. Catches, pass interference (the Carter one on the sideline where he was thrown down, the endzone call where both were manhandling each other, etc), late hits, holding or lack thereof. I know calls go both ways and as a fan in the stands you don't get the best views when they only show one replay, but this isn't a one game trend. Many people have pointed out that Mich and OSU get the "benefit of the doubt" calls or straight-up horrible misses all the time.

Do we win this game with 100% correct officiating? I don't know. Certainly changes the aspect of the first 3 quarters though, as that was largely a battle of field position and a lot of 3rd downs that could have been stopped. The game got away from us in the 4th quarter. We also beat ourselves up on dumb calls (the fake FG, FG down by 18, etc).

I say we absolutely do not win this game wtih "100% correct officiating". I agree that there might be some legitimacy to arguing that Michigan and OSU historically get the calls (we see some of that "officiating by reputation" here in town when Mauer gets some very generous calls at the plate) and that drives me up the wall, but I think that is more of a macro problem. At the micro level, the only call that really bothered me was the PI call on Carter, and I agree with Scher that it is pretty easy for us to make the call when we get multiple angles on replay and slow motion after we get home. The officials didn't do anything to leave me too upset as I left the game.
