2 years away from a National Championship, Gophers snap 10-game losing streak as Spartans yield 10 turnovers. The Gophers get a short touchdown run from a sophomore back from Rochester who will go on to play 4 seasons with Winnipeg of the CFL and then 5 years with Oakland before being killed in a traffic accident at age 31. Can you name him?

Leo: Roger Hagberg. He also played for the Rochester Rockets in the 1957 state basketball tournament along with former Gopher asst. coach and Colt offense coordinator Tom Moore.
