Theret officially out; Bennett to start at RB

CRG...interesting that you went from this...

DPDOLL, thank you for confirming why I rarely visit this board anymore. The stupidest voices always seem to talk the loudest. I seriously hope no recruits, players or family's are reading your delusional, uninformed, OCD rants.

Mods how do we block a poster? I seriously can't visit a site that had a d-bag like this kid posting 10-12 times per thread drowning out all reasonable voices. He has become this boards Loon/Wren. Carbon copy, all that's missing is "PREXY B!!!!". He's making your forum a joke, get rid of him.

to this...

I posted the same thing across the street earlier today, that with the smaller DE's it makes sense to play Wilhite/Simpson/Garin (Well I might have forgotten to mention Garin, but the thought was there :).

Am I not "delusional, uninformed, OCD" or a "d-bag" anymore?

I actually think it would make even more sense to see Hageman against the smaller OLs. I would imagine that the OL for MTSU would prefer to go against smaller (quicker) DE's than a guy like Hageman.

I know the huge OT struggle more with the really small and quick DE's than they do with power guys.

Per Brewster, I guess it's b/c Garin has the better technique.

Just before the scrimmage Brewster was talking about Hageman's injury (ankle?) and saying how they need to "get him on the field". Maybe they changed their minds?

LOL, this is true, but in this case, it's valid. He's a three year starter, and with Collado is the only defensive player to be here since Brewster's gotten here, if I recall correctly. With the youth on defense, we could very much so use his experience out there.

Also, I hope Manuel is ready for live bullets, I think MTSU is gonna try to fling it all over the place.

Anthony Jacobs resents that remark.

No, Brew said they still plan to play him, but that Garin would be the primary option for this game.

Ahhh, my bad! But still, only 3 defensive players (unless we're missing someone else) with four years of experience. Of course, on the flip side, that means a beastly defense could be fielded next season with all that coming back. But for this year, it'd be nice to have guys like Theret on the field who have that kind of experience.

This is what I was thinking.

I think that the reason Hageman is not starting is because he is still very raw at DE. Watching him during the scrimmage, it seemed pretty apparent that he was still learning the position. There were a couple of plays where the rb ran right by Hageman while he was locked up with the lineman. He needs to learn to read the block and shed his blocker. That is something harder than it may seem.
