There will be bumps but with Kill at the helm, we'll be fine

I've watched the games and have been 'upset' at the play I've seen over the last two weeks. I've also called for Croft in my moments of anguish, head scratching at what seems to be rookie mistakes but in the end, I for one still believe in Kill and the staff. I believe in this team and whether they go 10-2, 8-4 or 5-7, I know Kill is moving this program in the right direction. Great recruits for 2016, a very young, talented group of players, a new facility breaking ground, I feel good about this program.

I will get upset if we don't win, if our players don't play up to MY expectations but that's why I watch the games, that's why I have season tickets. I love the gophs, I bleed maroon and gold and I know there will be brighter days ahead. Keep your heads up and just remember not too long ago, there were much (and I mean much) darker days when we didn't have a chance and bleeding maroon and gold was painful every week.

Thanks. We all need reminding at times.

I remember thinking that about tubby after al nolen went down

Some of it is perspective: the Gophers were up 10-0 and driving for what looked like another score when the fumbled pass was run back by K.S. for their only TD. Had the Gophers gone ahead 17-0 and won with that score, the anguish here would be at a much lower level, though justified gripes about play-calling would still prevail. The problem is that the Gophers didn't go up, were 10-7 and in danger of losing the game the rest of the way to a team massacred by Illinois.

Nice Post!

I really like your optimism and I feel that this team is much better than we showed yesterday. I get frustrated at times with the negativity of this board in general but I do understand the frustration with the play calling. I believe Limegrover and Kill all to often get into a mode of "playing not to lose" instead of "playing too win". I believe that if we open up the offense a little more we will see the true capabilities of this team but to Jerry's credit we won yesterday while MAC schools have already pulled off upsets of some of the bigger schools.

Ohio is going to be a challenge as they appear to be a very good team from what I have seen of them on the internet. They have a very good back in Papi White and they have moved the ball in the air very effectively against their first 3 opponents. We need to have our "chin staps buttoned" for this one as they are full of optimism coming into TCF Bank Stadium. But, if we have a good week of preparation this is definitely a winnable game for the Gophers.

Is that the one that Rashad Still fumbled? You have to feel for the kid making a rookie mistake for trying to go the extra mile and not securing the ball. This will get corrected.

It was a momentum changer.
