I know, was thinking about this yesterday. We last tied for the title when I was in 4th grade and have virtually no memory of it. I am now in my mid-sixties and do not think that I will ever see us win a conference title...Such is the life of a Gopher football fan.

18 teams and the closest we can get to the top of the alphabet is the letter I.
 




Illinois is still first in the alphabetical Big Ten. There are 39 FBS schools starting with A-H (29%) but none are in the Big 18.
