We lack a passionate fanbase

We have a pretty subpar HS football recruiting base in the state

Yet, we have one of the top 6 conference records in the last 6 years.

I think PJ's done a pretty damn good job.

We can question his offense and his game management decisions that seem to cause issues, but as far as what we can expect and what we have gotten from him....

He has been a breath of fresh air to this team like nothing I have seen (sans maybe a 3 year run with Mason) in my lifetime of 44 years.
 



@Texan Gopher yep to all of that.

But also, just like with Iowa, PJ had taken advantage— still have to give credit for actually taking that advantage, no doubt — of playing in a weak west. In 2019, 21-23 every single West team was there to be beat. Those years in the East that would definitely not be true, as Maryland, Rutgers, IU, and MSU know all too well.
