The Wolves had the largest volume drop in attendance from last season to this one at 1,400 fewer fans per game

Maybe it was partly due to the best player saying they don't care about regular season games.

Apologies if I did the math wrong anywhere

2022: 16028 (21st in the league in attendance)
2023: 16768 (27th)
2024: 18024 (18th)
2025: 18835 (10th)
2026: 17402 (21st)
2004: 17635 (11th; our 1 seed year)
2005: 17181 (15th; battling for playoffs)

We're still a quite small market comparatively. The vibes around this team have not been good. Ant played 61 games this year (79 last year), people still come to see stars (see the 76ers dropping as Embiid played half a season despite winning 21 more games).

This is probably more regression back to what the Wolves market is. Nothing more, nothing less.

When you're paying a pretty hefty sum for tickets, it's probably not a good idea for your star player to be making comments about how you've been bored throughout the regular season and just slogging through to get to the playoffs.
