Should be interesting who ends up seeing the field this year in the secondary. Any guesses on how things shape up? I'm hoping Kill can redshirt the incoming freshman DBs. Vereen, Watkins, and Manuel all saw action last year as true freshman, add in Michael Carter, Troy Stoudermire, and Tyrone Bouie who redshirted last season and 2nd yr juco transfer Christyn Lewis. Royston is a wild card and don't forget about Kyle Henderson. Add in juco's Osunde and Crawford and I think this unit should be better and deeper than last year even without the incoming freshman. Remember Henderson, Stoudermire, Vereen, Watkins, Manuel, and Lewis all had zero experience playing secondary in the big10 before last season, I think that experience will help this year.

Is stoudamire still enrolled?

According to the last update from inquiring minds, no. Too bad if he has decided to leave. Both for him and us. I will never forget the hit he laid on Coker to get him to fumble.

If he left he is even dumber than I thought, why not finish your senior year and possibly break the Big Ten return yards record?

It might not have been a choice, it could have been academic.

If he isn't coming back he should declare for the draft though. That's why I'm thinking he may be back.

He might not be a draft pick but he is enough of an athlete to participate in workouts. He'll get a look as a return man.

I'm assuming he is one of the guys in the academic appeals process that Kill mentioned last week.

Stoudermire and Henderson were both on offense the year before and by the end of this season were the ones on the field playing corner. Hopefully, both Carter and Stoudermire will be back. Those two along with Henderson, Vereen and Osunde should provide good depth at the corner spot.

It was truly amazing and speaks directly to the type of athlete Troy is that he was able to transition to defense in the middle of the season. I can only imagine how good he will be with a full off season to work on technique.

No doubt. I hope he comes back as I do with all the guys on the team. Troy is a pretty fast dude and great football player.

Across the street it's been stated that TS is back in Mpls & working out with the team at this time, can you confirm that?

Troy is with the team.

Thanks for the good word! I'm really hoping Kim's last season is a special one for him...the underclassmen on the defense are fortunate to have him as a leader!
