From Mike Grimm : My 1st look at new turf at @TCFBankStadium. Looks good to me. Season opener just 10 wks away.

I prefer the block M (or W if on the visitor's side) only I think we should do it like our littlest brother up in Crookston.

Get rid of Old Dutch Wheel of Fortune. That is worse than field paint.

I like how the font in the end zones is the same as the upper deck Minnesota.
The color is off.
Discuss.
Here's a question, would it have matched when TCF Opened? Has the sun bleached some of the Gold out of the Gold seats?
No, I was just trying to be funny. There were many discussions about the colors on the field not matching the seats when TCF first opened. I was just taking us back to the good old days.......
I was in a section that won once .... you get a coupon for free chips.
I wanted free chips right there![]()
I know, I was just trying to stir the pot a bit, haha.
Though, some of the paint in the stadium has faded severely, and I for one would like to see a fresh coat of paint there. Mainly talking about the strip around the bottom of the upper deck and the band area, both are starting to look more like red/pink and yellow than Maroon and Gold. I'm sure there are more places around the stadium that have fallen prey to the sun.
Oops. Seeing your post count I figured you didn't know. Swing and a miss.
We got a crappy plastic pin. I'd have preferred free chips. :-/
Thanks to Title IX there is no Men's soccer team...but least we still have Men's gymnastics to inspire the dozens of male gymnasts over 8 years old in the state.
The Dutchie has been a LONG time supporter of not only U of M athletics, but all the teams in town (plus much more). Their kind of commitment would be hard to replace.
With that being said, I'll forward you concerns to the marketing team over there.
I'm not sure if this is the place to post this but having been by The Bank as recently as a week or so ago, the trees in the west end zone that came out to make way for the Vikings' bleachers have not been restored and seem unlikely to be, at least this season.

I think the original tree idea must have been by an architect, not an arborist. Eventually, they would have had to be removed as the roots destroyed the plaza. Repairs to the plaza and trimming of the roots kills the trees. Pretty, but not practical.
