The new Mo Walker!

The college version of Kevin Love? Drop a ton of weight and become a beast...

For better or worse, we're going to need something out of Mo next season. It appears we're not adding any newcomers to the frontcourt next season, so our best bet is we need some combination of EE, Mo, and Oto to make significant strides, and Buggs to play well beyond his years. Gotta' go with watcha' got, and by all appearances they'll be our "bigs" in 2013-14.

I'd be surprised if we don't add Buckles. But you are right, we'll still need some sort of contribution from Buggs and Walker.

Really rooting for Mo!! Would be a huge lift to the team next year if he's healthy and in shape. You can't teach 7 feet tall.

I don't think you could get a magazine slid in between his shoes and the floor when he jumped last year. I hope all is true and he loses weight and doesn't have knee problems. I know weight loss can only help his jumping ability but it looked like he had issues well beyond just the weight when he tried to jump last year.

Dude! Isn't that a bit harsh? There's a new euphemism for the F word..."easily seen".

I thought about rephrasing it but decided it sounded a lot like me. Just carrying extra weight and not as mobile as I once was.

This just in from Sid:
New Gophers basketball coach Richard Pitino has put Mo Walker on a diet, and the word is that the 6-7 forward, who weighed 325 pounds at one time, has lost about 30 pounds. On the other hand Pitino wants Elliott Eliason, who stood 6-11 and weighed 260 pounds, to work on the weights and it sounds like he is making progress.

Ouch Walker has lost so much weight he is now 2-3 inches shorter! LOL

He's definitely at least 6'9 and I believe he is listed at 6'10 most commonly.
