The Nebraska Huskers president just gave a major update on the Big Ten Conference .

200k is moderate emergency? You waiting for Chicxulub part 2?

Check the mortality demographic, over half of the deceased would be dead in 18 months anyway from their co-morbidities. A real pandemic would kill all age groups.

To an extent I agree but these are mostly Fox News talking points. U.S. suicide rates were at an all-time high in 2019 and are probably up a bit more during the pandemic. People dying at home from heart attacks, strokes, and the like? Probably has happened but it does not compare to the carnage from Covid-19. Handling the initial outbreak properly would have nipped most of it in the bud.
Exactly.

If George W Bush, Mitt Romney, or John McCain (if he were alive) were president, we’d much closer to where Germany and Canada are at.

You made this up out of thin air.

Look it up, what is the life expectancy in a nursing home?

Twins are paying $25 million. Mayo Clinic $10 million. Other corporations ponying up big bucks for diversity. Republican states are playing fall high school football while dem states arent. Red states are playing college football while blue arent. Even on gh dems say dont play while repubs say play. In the big10 the schools that want to play come from red states, those that dont come from blue.

There is a definite pattern here that seems to supersede finances. Leads me to believe the big10 original decision was political and if they decide to play that will be a political decision as well.
That syllogism would have received a D- in a Logics class.

So much for compassion and the sanctity of human life. FYI, a pandemic refers to the global spread of a contagion, not its virulence.

The average stay in a nursing home is 835 days, according to the National Care Planning Council.

It's just the same old fake argument about deaths, over and over. Same old, same old, with different veneers.

Can you break that down by co-morbidities?

And can you factor in the hit to life expectancy for long term job loss experienced by middle age males?

Can you gaslight about things you have no clue about?

So, I'm confused. did the Nebraska President make some sort of statement about co-morbidities?

Can we try to not let ever stinkin' thread turn into another covid argument?
