The Mason and Brewster Era's, by the numbers.

This a breakdown of our BigTen scoring differential over the last twelve years. Obviously the sample of Brewster years is small, but I did this mainly to look at how the first couple of years compared, and also to see the ups and downs of Mason's coaching tenure. It's interesting to see the similar 3 year pattern of decline following Mason's two best years in 99/03. We get worse at about the same rate each time. Hopefully Brew can have a similar turn around that Mase had from 98 to 99!! I'm anxious to see if we can improve on offense despite changing coordinators.

The first two years are practically identical...weird. While interesting, it's pretty unfair to make any conclusions on this comparison because there are so many different variables at play. Thanks for putting in the work, though...

We're very cyclical. Hopefully the cyclical mediocrity is ending.

Mason had a ton of talent on the 99 squad: Carter, Riley, Middlebrooks, Hamilton, Ron Johnson, Arland Bruce, Wyrick, Jack Brewer, all who played at the pro level, plus excellent players such as Hamner, Schlecht, Mezera, Hoffman, Delvin Jones, Billy Cockerham, Russ, etc. A good number of the were Wacker recruits. I always felt that team under acheived. The talent level is not even close with this team.
