This stat from the World Herald surprised me. I would have thought it was much more recent than that, but I guess the really big wins we've had over the years (at Penn State with the Nystrom kick, at Michigan with the Lohmiller kick, etc.) were all on the road.

If it happens, that standing-room crowd should give Minnesota a standing ovation. The last time the Gophers beat a top-10 opponent at home was 38 years ago — 16-0 over No. 1 Michigan in 1977.
