Didn't see one, so I'm starting one.

Checked the Butler board...there's absolutely no indication from them that Minnesota is a possibility/threat. A couple rumors that Brad was spotted in LA.

so as of now it is more like the Brad Stevens NO News thread.

one of the things that struck me about Brad Stevens was after his first trip to the final four he would show people around their facilities and not complain about how dumpy they were. He seemed to figure out a way to get it done without a practice facility. Another thing was that he seemed extremely loyal to Butler.

He also is more open to high school coaches--one of our high school assistants called him and asked to watch practice and he not only let him, but gave him practice plans and drills etc all in a nice little workbook. Way more open than it seemed with Tubby and his closed practices.

I think once someone declares on Twitter that a deal has been done between the two, it's our obligation as a board to produce a Brad Stevens news thread.

That's because Minnesota is absolutely not a possibility/threat.
 

A quick Google search tells me that Brad Stevens already lives in Cloquet. He must not mind the commute.
 

If I thought Shaka was a %15 chance, I'd put Brad Stevens at so low a chance it would be similar to the chance he'd be coaching Hamline next year, when you factor in all the zeros behind the decimal point.
 



You should change the name to "News on Brad Stevens." Just so it matches the others. It's more eye-catching

My friend was driving on 94 10 minutes ago in St Paul and just told me he saw Brad Stevens driving a Chevy Lumina with a Gophers flag with a big smile on his face. He's probably on his way to the U, and didn't want to fly so he could avoid the media circus. More to come at 2:00 central time.
 

I have no idea why, but he was also in the US remix of Gangnam Style. They shot the video against a green screen in the warehouse district.

I'll be at St. Elmo Steakhouse at 4:30 (have to get the early bird) having a St. Elmo shrimp cocktail and an Elmo cola if anybody wants to throw down. I'll be wearing my Minnesota Striker cufflinks.
