per the Boston Globe. Was really surprised to see this.

If the 68 teams were seeded by graduation rates, the Badgers would be a bottom seed. They have the lowest Graduation Success Rate for black men of zero and the third-lowest overall at 40 percent. They were one of 16 teams that should be disqualified for historically graduating less than 50 percent of either black or white players or having an overall rate under 50 percent.

Here's the entire article - it doesn't say where they got their data: http://www.bostonglobe.com/opinion/...ation-rates/I8LIg6FKwrz1nK250NKaJJ/story.html

I apologize if this has been posted, it's hard to keep up. It's from 2 weeks ago, but never saw it.

It's probably because they have "standards" in wisconsin. How embarrassing!

More embarrassing than the whining of the players and coaches tonight? Not even close.

And how do they stay elgible? They are all there for five years? What are they doin'?

Yep, those high academic standards really holding them back. Must be tough to only be allowed to recruit 4.0 students and Rhodes Scholars.

Calculated based upon 04-07 entering freshman pulled from ncaa GSR search. For comparison, we had some years in there that we were lower than their numbers. I don't really know how to take that data

4.0 students, Rhodes Scholars AND non-foulers. That's tough to beat!
