Per Scott:

Minnesota (4-2, 2-1): The Gophers overwhelmed their lower-level competition, suffered against No. 1 Ohio State and won two out of three games against the Power 4 opponents closest to their talent level. Minnesota ranks in the middle of the conference or lower in just every statistical category. It’s just … there.

Go Gophers!!

So much of the outlook of the season is based on the Cal game. If MN had won that one everyone would be at a b or b+ right now IMO...

Beat Nebraska and that C gets a whole letter grade jump.

I mean it 16% of the season so far, so would make sense given that was a pretty abject failure. the same as the season is probably a D if we had lost to purdue, Rutgers or buffalo.

didn't see how they graded all the teams, but C seems right given its right on average of what was expected coming in.

If I go game by game, I think Rutgers is the only one that significantly positively improves my outlook on the team. Buffalo and Purdue wins were a little underwhelming given that i expected them to be low stress wins, nw state was exactly what I expected, feel like we managed to lose one we should have been able to win against Cal, and OSU was an expected loss where we looked worse than I expected.

None of this is meant to mitigate the value of the wins or losses, we are at 4-2 at a point in the season where I expected us to be 4-2 or 5-1, so C seems about right.
