This board has been pretty intense, I thought I'd lighten it up a bit with a Tweet from Kevin Durant that cracked me up. Sure, he's making millions, but if boys stayed in school longer, they would post stuff like this, lol!

KevinDurant35

this might sound dumb but wen people say "no pun intended" what do they mean?? 5 minutes ago from web

My bad i didnt go to school that long...

I have been on Twitter for almost a year, and never got into it, but I'm finally starting to get it.

If

If that really is KD you have to wonder how many people are currently stealing all his money.

Both funny and sad. I don't suppose he could have learned much in the one semester at Texas.

I really don't like one and done.

Me neither - but to me, it's better than going straight to the NBA. At least that way, you have a chance of keeping a kid in school, for the education - but more so, so they realize that 99% of them are not KG and not ready for the NBA yet.

How about get some real life experience??? I'm not sure you learn things like "no pun intended" in class but you do from getting exposed to real life, including hanging around people when you are in college! I am confident that every single person on this board knows what that phrase means.

I agree with Sect201 -- lets remember this in 15 years when he runs out of money! That said, I am concerned that my millions may run out in that same time frame. Oh wait...

on the other hand

On the other hand, if a kid wants to go directly from high school to the nba, at whatever age he or she might be, that is ok by me. let's give the free scholarship to a kid that really wants to be in college and play college hoops.

Just sayin...

I see your point, but I think that's the reason the college game began lacking in talent, I feel like it was a disservice to both the NBA and NCAA. Let's face it - if you're 17 years old and a really good athlete, and you have a bunch of "yes" men around you, all telling you you're going to make it in the league...chances are, you go. It sounds a whole lot better than studying, rules, being poor, and books...and they have no idea what they're missing out on. Not just with academics, but more so, with the entire college life. I don't think most kids are grounded enough to make that choice at that age, so I'm glad, that at least for a year, they aren't able to. I'd love to see that year extended, like in football...but I'll take what I can get.

I think Tubby has had his experiences with the one and done players at KY, and is not going to do that at MN.

Go Gophers!

a. Who would those be? He didn't have any.

b. Tubby tried to get Kevin Durant into Kentucky. But being the cheaters that we are our Compliance department said "no" because of grade issues.

I was thinking the same thing. And "no pun intended" isn't exactly a common phrase for black people to be honest. If you've never heard a saying then you've never heard a saying. Not sure what that has to do with school. Pretty sure he won't be out of money in 15 years.

That's one player. And Durant will never get to a point in his career playing wise like Walker did. Just watching Walker play on the Wolves I always got the idea that he wasn't the brightest guy.

Pretty sure most people would've thought the same thing about Antoine Walker...
