The 👃 is now on IR list after sniffing some of those lovely Jersey smells🤢

I don’t think it’s a close game, as we dominate the line of scrimmage and the Greek PopGun throws 2+ picks trying to prove PJ wrong.

31-14

The poll should be, do we get 2,3 or more interceptions this week.

I fear this will be a UCLA type game in the fact that it's going to be ugly for a lot of the game. That said, the last month has me thinking we will win ugly.

When Rutgers joined the conference it reminded me of my only New Jersey encounter from my youth.

True story.

Did a road trip to "visit" the pre-Mrs. Billd in Vermont and bring her back to Georgia that took me down I-95 on the way back. It was a 4th of July weekend so no motel rooms were available within forever of the interstate (it was 1985) so spent the night sleeping in my truck bed camper in an extremely busy wayside in Providence RI without any facilities or bathrooms. I'll just offer we were probably the only individuals trying to sleep that night.

After a very rough night we hit the road early and entered New Jersey and stopped at a gas station to fill up the tank, get something in us, and do some basic hygiene. The gas station facilities were not the best but it was something. As I was brushing my teeth I looked in the mirror and saw the hand scrawled note that read "non-potable water." I immediately did my best imitation of Old Faithful spewing, cursed both Rhode Island and New Jersey, and we hit the road to reach a more civilized New York State (for the oldsters these were the days when NYC hung up window posters over the broken windows as a beautification project).

I know this is a poor excuse but still have no desire to go back to NJ after all these years. If anything changed that will be a future road trip to watch the Gophers play the Scarlet Knights. I'll be sure to bring my own water just in case.

I got many of the same impressions while traveling through some parts of the “…0!d southern states, parts of Texas and parts of Wisconsin, Iowa, southern Illinois, Missouri and Indiana…. ;0) wink, wink!

It seems like yesterday I was reading up on college football over the summer and basically every publication and website had Rutgers listed as a dark horse B1G contender and playoff hopeful. As I read through those glowing predictions, I found it very interesting that very few of them mentioned the QB position.

And here we are, playing Rutgers as they try to navigate their four game losing streak. They really should have lost to Washington too. Some head scratching reffing plus they were dominated statistically in that one. I've paid more attention to Rutgers this year, partially because of all those pre-season predictions of great things, and partially because of the Kaliakmanis transfer.

It hasn't all been AK's fault. The injury bug has hit them hard. But, he hasn't really helped either. He appears to be the same QB he was at MN, perhaps marginally better but still near the bottom of the B1G in any conference QB listing. They don't get a free pass for the injury problems either, as their fan base has been pointing out the lack of developed 2's and 3's behind the injured guys.

Perhaps their bye week will give them enough injury relief to beat the Gophers. Perhaps the revenge factor will drive Kaliakmanis to new levels. I would never guarantee a Gopher victory regardless of opponent. But, that being said I do feel about as confident as I ever am for a road conference game.

If we play well we win and probably fairly comfortably (which would be a nice change of pace compared to some of the stressful ones we have had).

Rutgers D has not been good over the past month and we all know the key to stopping the offense is to make Athan beat you.

If we don't turn the ball over or make critical mistakes we are the better team and should win the game.

Are you going to the game?
Thanks for asking.

No, unfortunately I’ve been recovering from some serious medical issues and just don’t have the energy to travel and be at a game for 3+ hours at this point.

Been there before for a game and enjoyed the venue and fans.

For those going, have fun!!
