Actually you are both incorrect. Those games were split between ABC and a reverse mirror going to other parts of the country on ESPN2. I would have to do some research to find the last time a Minnesota game was on National Television (broadcast to the entire country) exclusively on an over-the-air (non-cable) network.

2005: Gophers hosted Ohio State at 11 AM on ABC. Pretty sure it was a national audience.

When the Vikings installed the heating coils this summer I thought those things would never get used for Gopher games since the home schedule is typically complete by Thanksgiving. But then again this is Minnesota we're talking about, so I'm happy they're in.
