Texas Tech at Alabama on ESPN2 at 8 PM tonight for anyone who might be interested.

I'm interested in seeing this. Honestly, anyone who still has a beef with Tubby should get over it.

Texas Tech better pray Alabama doesn't have good 3 point shooters or run a zone.

And have the defensive patience to watch TT guards run in circles with the ball around the 3 point line for 25 seconds every possession.

Appreciate the head's up, I'll probably tune in a for a while out of curiosity. I wonder if that freshman we had signed is going to play... I already forgot his name.

It was mentioned in a another thread, but Alex Foster is playing pretty well for Tubby and looks to be a solid forward for the program for the upcoming years.

edit: here is the post..

SS-

So you watched Alex Foster grab 7 boards in only 12 minutes of play. Wonder if we wouldn't be better off with him over King when it is all said and done.

Ahh that's it, Alex Foster. I'd rather have King because that is who Pitino would rather have. I want our coach to have players that fit his system, so I'd rather take King this year and Martin next year than Foster this year.

Amen, howeda. People here like to talk babble about former Gopher players. Why cant we talk babble about former Coaches? I love babbling about former beers. Long gone but not forgotten. :drink:

I think you could have walked up and got a seat last minute. I think we had more people at the scrimmage

The crowd size looks like something you might find at the Salvation Army for a Howard Pulley summer league game.

I suspect that Tubby's kids will look their best in the month of November...

I was thinking the same thing, looks like a LOT of empty seats there. Maybe the popularity of college football in the south comes at the expense of no one caring about basketball? I mean Alabama's like a middle of the pack/top half SEC team aren't they?

Tubby's Raiders are keeping up with the Tide, but Alabama just scored their second unanswered basket, and have a chance to go up five if they hit the free throw after this commercial, currently 24-20 'Bama.

Out of a time out and TTech can't get a shot off before the shot clock expires against a zone...still the same old Tubby...

Ha... I just tuned in and TT passed the ball around and got a shot clock violation. You can't make this stuff up.
Didn't even get a shot off.

(Sample size of 1.. just thought it was funny given all the comments about Tubby's anemic offense).

Alabama fights back with a shot clock violation of their own.

Just turned the game on, seems like Tubby still doesn't have an effective zone offense.

You guys are turning into the Kentucky fans I despised when we hired Tubby. Let it go. The man did some great things here amidst the disappointment.

Not sure if you were talking about my comment, but it was just a general observation. Alabama went on a huge run at the end of the half in large part to Texas Tech's inability to get a decent shot off against the zone.

Agreed. I thank him for Hollins and Hollins, among others.

Kinda weird seeing almost our entire staff from last year sitting on somebody else's bench.

Trevor Releford looks good...didn't Tubby try to recruit him here? (Or am I thinking of Travis Releford?)

You're right, the number of empty seats -- GOOD empty seats -- is unbelievable. I think our scrimmages drew better than this "Big 12-SEC Challenge" game.
