Seems like there are a few "had died" threads, so I thought I'd start one of a band you've probably never heard of, but do give 'em a listen. They were described to me as a cross of The Beatles, ELO, Queen, and Yes, and I suppose that's pretty true. The one song you may have heard of theirs is "Calling Occupants" (written by Draper) which was covered and made popular by "The Carpenters".

I got involved in an attempt to turn their second album, "Hope", into a musical where I was asked to consult on a front projection lighting system. The musical didn't happen, but "Hope" is a great album, very different, but I do like it. It's a themed album that takes you on a journey across the universe following the rise and fall of a civilization, as told (spoiler alert) by the lone survivor of that race. The first half has a wide variety of tunes that set up the second half military battles that are played out in some great rock-orchestra themes, and it closes with a survivor tune.

Here's a link where Klatuu can take you on the musical journey of the rise and fall of Politzania:

Post Script: Post Klatuu, Terry Draper went on to make 22 solo albums, so quite a prolific musician.
