He's not the reason that the gophers lost tonight.

He is the reason that any game he refs becomes near drudgery. It's invariably all about him. He takes over every game that he officiates, ruining the flow and the experience for the players and the fans. He calls all physical contact (real and imagined), not just contact where a competitive advantage is created. Each call is highly dramatic. He's one of the worst officials in all of sports.

He's like Hightower and some others in that he's not content to just make the obvious call (or non call). He needs to demonstrate his prowess by making the call that only he can see - that all of us mortals can't detect. That's why he's a D1 official, and we're just watching the game. He brings a creativity to the game that we can only begin to appreciate. It makes the game so much better.
