Teams playing 10 or more Power 5 opponents in 2023: ACC: 10 of 15 (counting ND) Big Ten: 13 of 14 Big 12: 11 of 14 Pac-12: 10 of 12 SEC: 2 of 14

Wow.

One of these things is not like the others. And, I mean REALLY not like the others.

Just remember, when Minnesota is playing @Ohio State on the season's penultimate week, as our 3rd crossover and 9th league game...

Alabama hosts Chattanooga
LSU hosts Georgia State
Texas A&M hosts Abilene Christian
Auburn hosts New Mexico State (upset special)

The SEC sticks to the eight conference opponent schedule while the BIG goes to nine and the SEC will not suffer when it comes time to choose the 12 team finalists next year.
Why, because they are THE SEC and all must bow down before them.
It is surprising that their TV carriers did not insist on a better viewing schedule.

If the NCAA was anything other than a money slurping enterprise, they'd set non-conference schedules to attempt to create an even playing field. The SEC has nothing to gain by risking their reputation with tougher schedules.

They will stick with 8 conference games and will announce schedule on June 14th.

There is no incentive to schedule a strong non conference schedule unless you’re a G5 team. Once playoffs went to four teams sos died, it will be even worse with an expanded playoff. When the season was the playoff SOS mattered and college football was more entertaining every single week. Been down hill ever since expanding to four teams.
