Teague: 'I have full faith that we can move forward with the program'

By "time and time again" do you mean "not once"?

It doesn't matter, though. Jerry has made it clear. When people, including his wife and doctors, tell him he needs to make changes because of his health issues, he doesn't want to hear it. "I ain't changin!!"

A defiant patient unwilling to work toward better health can be difficult. Hopefully he becomes more willing to listen.

You do realize you are using quotes from Jerry that are 2 years old right???

Some quotes from someone who knows him just a tad better than you do:

“He’s not in it for the money, he’s not in it for the fame,” Limegrover said. “He’s in it because he loves kids, he loves the process, he loves building something special wherever he goes.

“And if he doesn’t feel that his health is allowing him to do that, he’s gone. There’s no doubt about that.”

What I gather from that is, if Kill's doctors tell him his health is in serious jeopardy because of his job, then he'll walk away. That's the problem with how some of the media is reacting though, they think they're Kill's doctors and they know best. In reality, they have no damn clue.

I just listened to the entire Souhan interview at noon with Judd and Dubay, and it made me sick. Judd and Dubay both agreed that Souhan was respectful in his column and didn't take any cheap shots at Kill. Did they even read his column? The amount of arrogance coming from those two today is staggering, they honestly believe they are important and that Norwood Teague should answer questions at any time they want simply because they are having a temper tantrum.

And the ignorance from all three of them during the interview was really something. Souhan mentioned that fans who support Kill are the problem because according to him if and when something really bad happens to Kill (meaning death or something serious) then what are his supporters going to say? Even though doctors at the FREAKING MAYO CLINIC have said time and time again that Kill is in no danger whatsoever. THE FREAKING MAYO CLINIC!!!! Apparently Souhan, Zulgad, and Dubay know more than a seizure specialist at one of the best hospitals on the entire planet.

I hope others on here heard that interview as well. Would love to hear some thoughts.

There needs to be a house cleaning of all the sports writers in Minnesota. All they do is bash the teams, no matter if it's College or Pro's, if they can find something to complain or talk bad about something they will in a heartbeat. I hate listening to the sports radio and reading the Sports columns whenever I'm up there because that's all they seem to do. They're a bunch of DipSh!t's and Clowns. Someone (or something) needs to stop them.

The won/lost records of all the MN teams might help explain that.

Go away!

Gopher Warrior, please respond referencing where you know what Coach Kill has or has not done:

Gopher Warrior, please respond referencing where you know what Coach Kill has or has not done:

From his own mouth for one and from various other sources.

Others have heard and reported the same. He can be hard headed and stubborn. Some people think those are cool traits to have. It can make it difficult for doctors to treat a patient like him, though.

Jerry Kill was examined by Mayo Clinic specialists Friday morning and was encouraged to remain at the hospital for treatment of his epileptic condition, sources at the university said Monday. But it wasn't until the Gophers football coach suffered another seizure at home Sunday morning that Kill agreed to return to Rochester for an extended evaluation.

Have they really said this? He has coached 28 games here. That is about 100 hours of time. He has had 4 seizures (new mexico, northwestern, msu and wiu) which required hospitalization. 1 every 25 hours during game time. It seems like there must be a correlation.

I know that science is hard, but correlation does not imply causation. Just like more violent crimes occur during hot weather. It doesn't mean that the weather causes it. Could it contribute? yes. but it is just as likely that it had no bearing on someone commiting the crime.

So, too, with the seizures. Could it have caused it? yes. Did it? Not sure, not a doctor. But the coach has had more than four off-field siezures since he has been here.

By the GH math I'm seeing here, that means he is statistically more likely to have an off-field siezure. To me, that CLEARLY implies that coach Kill should stay on the field and never go home.

I'm only concerned with his safety. I just want him safe.

KEEP JERRY ON THE FIELD. LOCK HIM IN THE BANK

Quit referencing events and quotes from 2 years ago. Kill has made changes to his diet, exercise regimen, and responsibilities within the past year. Clearly he has realized he needed to change and has in fact done so. Your take on this matter is outdated.

Thank you for providing one example.

What about the part where he references his weight loss, eating healthier, going for daily excersises, he went back for extensive tests, his new doctor here in the cities, them taking things off of his plate?

Either way, I don't agree with you saying things about him and his health which you have no idea about the full picture of what is going on, nor do I.

That has been a problem. I believe that Minnesota has the longest active streak of any current B1G school without having a winning conference conference record in the regular season, so a lot of people have a lot of legitimate gripes about the state of our athletics.

That being said, I did think the coverage about Kill's seizure was pretty horrendous. This season won't be about seizures. Either Kill will get us to a bowl game or he won't, and we can base our judgment on that.

FWIW I was referring to All MN teams. Pros and the U.

Do you mean all sports or just football? In football, we last had a winning Big Ten record in 2003 (5-3), while Indiana hasn't since 1993 (5-3).

Good catch. I definitely misphrased that. I meant that as a school we have gone the longest without have one in either sport (Indiana had one in basketball last year).
