I am on record as not being a Brewster booster but I do hope he wins. However, if he doesn't I think we can get a good coach to come here. I have visited most big ten venues to watch the Gophers and our stadium rocks. Yesterday as an example the stadium was beautiful. Most everything about the place is great-the atmosphere, the view and the crowd. Its just sad that we keep losing....there is so much potential to make that place be intimidating. Your thoughts?!

The stadium won't be the problem with getting a top-notch coach. It's the AD, the budget and the apathetic fanbase that will be the main obstacles.

I agree. The greatest games to me in the last 2 years have been Air Force at night & Cal last year. The atmosphere in those games were on another level. Watching Arizona score that last time against Iowa & seeing how the stadium rock & seeing the progress Stoops has made since becoming coach there made me wonder why we can't be like that? Why can't Minnesota do that? It starts with winning...

Everytime the Gophers have a home game that's ESPN Broadcasted they *ALSWAYS* say we have a beautiful stadium. I'm on a lot sports forums and even people who aren't Gopher fans last year were commenting on how we might have "Top 5" best looking stadium in College Football...

You're right. The U got that part right, now either Brewster pans out or we get it right the next time we hire a head coach. We all could use a winner. Got to be our turn soon.

Add the Michigan St game to the list for great atmospheres.

What's sad is a lot of people didn't show up yesterday, because of the loss to USD. An acquaintance of mine who's a USC fan/alum said that ticket prices collapsed after the loss to USD. Had we won last week the atmosphere would have been significantly better. Instead people left at half time. After the kick off return for a TD fans started left in earnest.

If the place gets rockin' it would be a tough place to play.
