Taunting question

People should be allowed to be as disrespectful as possible as long as no one ever, and I repeat ever, displays an imaginary legally-holstered weapon.
It wasn’t Walley’s fault that his amazing abs gave you a weird boner.

Don’t hide behind that, you’re better than that.

I saw that too and was disgusted by it. Purdue may have moved to the top of my list of disliked teams (not what I really want to say). I did like that after they taunted in the end zone after a kickoff we scored pretty quickly on them. Bunch of ***holes.

There was a different time: it’s 1978 at then Bierman Field. Minnesota and Michigan State are playing a double header. The Gophers rally from seven runs down to win the opener. Kirk Gibson is hanging a miserable 0-fer day at the plate into the second game. He is hearing it from the fans. Gibson gets his revenge, though. He hits a towering three run homer to give the Spartans the lead in the late innings. After rounding the bases he stands near the on-deck circle and points into the stands and yelling at the fans. In a flash with a face red with anger, MSU coach Danny Litwhiler bolts out of the dugout and practically drags Gibson into the dugout while chastising him. Moral of the story: there were once standards of conduct.

Ha ha - because I didn't actually say assholes? Or because iowa or wisconsin may not be my least favorite? Perhaps I spoke too hastily. I hated the Purdue players' antics and that's going to remain with me for awhile. Who do they think they are??? I saw them and their fans do similar antics in West Lafayette so not a fan of them. Have no fear, I still despise iowa and wisconsin the most :)

The two most obvious taunts are done all the time and never flagged: The finger wag, and the "Shhh" of the crowd. If you're not going to enforce those then it's natural that other types of taunts will grow from there.

It's not that hard really. If the celebration you're doing has a subject, and that subject is the oppopent's players or crowd, it's a taunt. Call it.
They did that too. Turnovers and Taunting. They're TnT...

It was noticeable at the game and the officials were watching. Think if any of the players had stopped and posed or as a group it may have been called. They kind of did it in a continuous motion as they made way to end zone and then to the bench. Agree that it was odd to see a visiting team do that.

Not that the poster needs defense, but I think he was actually saying that the call on Walley was ridiculous. At least that is what my sarcasm meter detected.
