Tanner discusses return

Reading between the lines, when Morgan talks about "details" and "understanding the play call,"
you have to wonder what was going on behind the scenes with Sanford.

It could be as simple as a better fit, personality-wise. But Morgan is talking about techniques and schemes, which seems to go beyond personality.

This seems to be a bit of Deja Vu in terms of the last time the Gophers got rid of a coordinator. When Smith left and Rossi took over the D, there were similar types of comments from the defensive players.

in the end, the Sanford experiment did not work - or at least did not work as well as the coach expected.

If Mitch Leidner had come back for another year, a lot of the Board would have had a meltdown.....

The offense looked so much more comfortable late in the season.
