Ta'Lon Cooper: I love Minnesota but this weather is not it. Then people keep telling me it’s only going to get worse 🤦🏽‍♂️ y’all pray for me!!!

Wait til Dennis Evans comes to Minnesota and takes you out ice fishing, Ta'Lon.

Ta’Lon might want to take that Detroit area code, 313, off his Twitter handle.
I had to laugh at that! Detroit isn't exactly a tropical paradise. I think they might be 5-10 degrees warmer in the winter on average. MSP is certainly more likely to have extreme weather.

Honestly I’ve lived in SE Michigan for a bit now and the winters are so much more pleasant. Minnesota in Jan-Feb is brutal. 5-10 degrees on average makes all the difference. And, like you said, less likely to have extreme -30+ wind chills.

A couple years here and I’m already a wimp when I go back to MN in the winter.

Agreed, 5-10 degrees on average is a big difference. People who live outside the upper central midwest don't understand how much colder it is there than most other places and some who live in the upper central midwest don't realize how much warmer it is in most other places.

I was in central PA about five years ago in early January. I wore an army style jacket with a sweater underneath but had my jacket open most of the time. A couple of people asked me if it was as cold in Minnesota as it was there. I replied "This is like March in Minnesota."
