Play poorly, a costly fumble and a missed FG = one conference loss on the year and suddenly the season is over, everything is lost. The sky is falling posts rear their ridiculously stupid heads. These types of short sighted posts are so predictable and so wrong. Lest we forget we are still tied for 1st place in the West and have a bye week to get right.

The idiot Debbie Downers, naysayers and flamers seem to forget that some said the same crap they are saying today after last year's loss to Michigan.....and then OUR Gophers proceeded to win 4 in a row, including wins against Nebraska and Penn State.

So let these idiots, these mostly bandwagon type fans, these Monday morning QB morons have their rants on GH for a couple days. Solution: Just stay away from the site for a couple days. Once the rational Gopher fans aren't replying to their drivel any more after a couple days they will all fizzle out and piss off, and crawl back to their dark basements like they always do. Let them "burn themselves out" on their own and scream at each other in what is essentially their own pathetic echo chamber of hindsight coaching expertise. Don't stoop to their level. A flame, and a flaming post/poster can't burn without oxygen.

Go Gophers! Ski-U-Mah! Beat Iowa!

Looking forward to moving to 7-2 and 4-1 in the B1G in two weeks.

+1. We still control our own destiny in the division and can knock off some pretty good teams.

Over/Under on anti-Souhan/Reusse threads?

Quite frankly I don't care about something like that to be honest. What journalists have to say on a matter is usually irrelevant to a situation anyways and will have absolutely ZERO bearing on how OUR team plays in 2 weeks. See you in a couple days GH'ers. Cheers!

I don't either. I just love to sit back and laugh about the reaction to anything those guys write/say.

One conference loss...to the worst team IN A MEDIOCRE CONFERENCE.
This is one game we should have won, handily, and loss.
Now, we have 4 straight against teams that are WORLDS better than
this 'one conference loss'. Keep your positive attitude, I implore that,
but I have a hard time believing you've watched this team for the last 20-40
years...... we others, have.

We lost to a team that was 1-18 in their previous 19 Big Ten games. And their coach was about to be fired.

I hope our program and fans are at place where we can be p*ssed about losing a game like this. It's not the end of the world, but it is a letdown...

See you soon, try not to get upset and offended while you're gone.

Agree with this. It's a tough loss to take. Truth is, we were never that good. We're not a bad team but we're also not a championship team. We lost on the road in the big 10. It happens to college teams. Beat Iowa and Wisconsin and job done.

Not fun to lose, but we are still looking good. We are bowl eligable and still can win our division. Our team is not bad, like so many here say. I'm glad we are 4 games over 500 at this point in the season, and many would have taken it at the start.

We played poorly today and lost a game we should have won. Why does that mean we suck and can't win another game? Was this the first upset in the history of CFB?

You think people are overreacting, but at the end of the day, football comes down to talent, effort, and coaching, so one of the following must be true:

1) the Gopher are less talented than a team that went 1-18 in its last 19 B1G games
2) the Gophers were too lazy to give as much effort as a team in the dumps playing for a dead coach walking
3) Kill got outcoached by a guy who is 1-18 in his last 19 conference games.

There are lots of overreactions on this board. This game is not one of them, this one really was inexcusable.

Agree totally to posts above. The p*ssed off attitudes are totally justified for this game. Losing to the worst team in the Big Ten (by quite a large stretch) while your team is showing promise. Hurts quite a bit. I've only been following Gopher Football for 5 years. Don't know how you older guys have done it honestly, haha.

There are different ways to get to 6-2. The more concerning thing for me is how badly we have played lately. We certainly aren't getting better.

Dear Gophers,

Please make me come back and post that I put my foot in my mouth when I posted that I was concerned after we lost to the worst team in the BIG the week after we nearly lost to the 2nd worst team in the BIG. It seems logical to be concerned, please prove me wrong.

Eat a green weenie and move on.

I hope there isn't a co-pay required to get that prescription. Your years of medical school obviously paid off.

Nothing to see hear folks. This thread doesn't exist. It is already deleted.

The easiest thing to do after a loss is lose perspective. I was at the game I'm in Champaign now and I'm not at all defeated by this loss. It sucks yes I take this more seriously than I should but I refuse to lose perspective. Let's beat the crap out of Iowa and be 7-2, 4-1 heading into the biggest home game of the Kill era against OSU. That game is winnable and would essentially make up for this bad loss. Bottom line is it's never as bad it seems. Move on and win our second rivalry game of the year and then fight hard to win one of the last three. Let's man up and finish strong.

Good post, I agree with most everything you said.

Gophers Win = We're great!

Gophers Lose = We're terrible!

As usual, the truth lies somewhere in between. The Gophers have some talent, but they also have problems/weaknesses.
