surely I can't be the only one to have noticed Odukale?

Points the gophers need them, even if it’s only for one year. Also Femi has 6 turnovers Asuma in 30 minutes of play zero
Last night was a nice step in the progression of Asuma as our primary guard who starts the offense. Odukale should be the guy standing in the corner, waiting for a weak side rebound.

Femi is the sf, why Ben had him handling the ball a ton, I have no idea. He is an athletic defensive player who could get some offensive rebounds, that's it.

Mixed bag with Odukale.

The Gophers' talent being what it is, he needs to play.

As others have pointed out, not a fan of him handling the ball against any pressure whatsoever. He's loose with the ball, a turnover waiting to happen. And his only shots should be at the basket (or really close to it).

However, I think he's a plus defensively. He's active. And being that this offensively-challenged team will have to win its games by mucking it up on defense and making the game ugly, there has to be significant minutes coming his way. Patterson is limited athletically. And Betts sinply is not ready.

Asuma
Fox
Garcia
Mitchell Jr. (when he gets healthy)
Odukale
Rigsby

Right now those are the 6 guys that will give the Gophers the best chance to win a basketball game. It's kind of a wonky 6, but it's the best we have. Hopefully Cochran can be added to the list later on.

Big Frank & Patterson? I want to see more (production) before I've giving them a ton of minutes.

Agreed. I'd add that I think that the jury might be out on Edmunds who has had some moments where he looked like he belonged.

Yes. To rebound. Because he couldn't throw a ball in the ocean even if he was standing in it

I have watched him in 2 games and this guy does not have game. He has no confidence in his shot, always is short. No points coming from him, so once Cochran and Mitchell get on the court together Femi will be a fleeting memory.
TO CHANGE THE SUBJECT—— Ben start Asuma, take off the kid gloves, and let him play, try encouraging him to shoot and drive to the basket. He has the potential to be another Suggs, Also tell Parker Fox to shake himself and play the aggressive game he had when a d2 All-American. Fox is capable of double figures every night. The Gophers need to start clawing their way out of the North Texas rock bottom pit getting better each and every game, right now they are playing like a bunch of wimps, beaten before the game even starts. They have a month to make it happen, they need an Inglorious Basterds attitude, play non stop D, and score just enough for the win.
Suggs? Hmmmm. I would say that is quite the stretch.
Ben should start him though. Give him the keys and hope he is happy enough to stick around.
