Super Bowl LVII - Eagles vs. Chiefs

Didn't impede his progress at all, ball was totally uncatcable, and it wasn't called all game.

Oh well

Mahomes is the next Brady -he’ll get all the borderline calls

Whether a ball is catchable or not has no impact on a holding call, only Pass Interference, correct? It would still be holding even if Mahomes threw it somewhere else, which makes sense because the hold itself may influence the decision to begin with.

I think it was the proper call. I don't like the rule itself where it's an automatic 1st Down, but that's a different battle.

Even the holder agrees. Hats off to James Bradberry for taking accountability.

It absolutely did. He was clearly stumbling out of the break because of the hold. As already stated, being uncatchable is irrelevant for holding. This happened well before the ball was thrown.

When a jersey is pulled like that, it's going to be called every time.

Greg Olson’s no James Bradbury.

Colts are hiring Shane Steichen - just can't make it official until after the Super Bowl.

And all signs point, apparently, to Cardinals hiring J. Gannon, the Eagles DC. Uggghhhh..... WTF... No idea why he got interviews last year and his performance in the SB yesterday was that of a HS coach. Here's hoping it's not a done deal yet but it sure looks like Gannon

Yes, and the flag should ideally be thrown before the ball is even in the air on such a hold. I'm not sure when it was tossed on the play in question.

Wrote this last year about the ending of the 2022 Super Bowl. Had forgotten about it. Bet nearly everybody outside of Bengals fans had. Yep, for the media it's all about creating controversy.

"That said, it was a great game. Been reading that some people are saying that the NFL fixed the game for the Rams with some bad calls near the end of the game. Conveniently forgetting the missed face mask call on a Bengals TD."

Sounds like a deal is being finalized with Gannon to take the Cardinals HC job. WTF... Nobody wanted this job, nobody.

Gannon is the guy, which you don't seem to be too happy about...but the upside is that it sounds like our very own Nick Rallis might replace him as the Eagles DC.

Gannon feels like Robert Saleh; made his bones and reputation with a super, incredibly talented and deep defensive lineup, but really not a great coach. Saleh takes the HC with the Jets, seems to be still somewhat clueless, and the San Fran defense actually gets better after he leaves.

Apparently, Gannon's biggest strengths are supposedly his dynamic personality, leadership, etc., not X'es & O's. So if he's smart enough to surround himself with talented DC and OC's, of which now the pickings are slim, then he just has to navigate the Kyler Murray situation.

Good for Nick Rallis though!! That would be very cool

Losing both coordinators has to be a blow for the Eagles. The trend has been broken recently by Cincy and KC, but for years the team that lost the Super Bowl generally missed the play-offs the next season.
