“Blocker becomes the 12th ESPN 100 prospect to commit to Arkansas since Eric Musselman's first full recruiting class in 2020. The Razorbacks signed six ESPN 100 prospects -- including three five-stars -- in the 2022 class, finishing with the No. 2 recruiting class in the country.”

Also—coach Cal just landed his 15th 5-star PG since 2009.

Curious if there is NIL at Arkansas to help finance this or if it’s just Musselman. Have to think other schools have more financial backing than them.

I doubt he would recruit that well at Minnesota.
Musselman Roster. Well, obviously we can't know the answer but I feel he'd do better. His passion for the Minnesota job to surpass his dad's accomplishments would be on fire. Minnesota has more to offer than many other places.

Musselman presents two very different contrasts to Ben...Musselman has 15 plus quality guys competing to play...we do not. Musselman embraces NIL. From Ben's podcast he is very wary of it disrupting the locker room....doesn't mind it but doesn't want it to be a factor....if it is... Ben moves on to a different recruit.

Hard to say how he’d do here. Requirements to get into school at Arkansas are also less

Was it just lip service or was he really interested in the Gopher job? If so, then yes we made the wrong hire.

Yes it was. His wife wasn’t coming here. The money was never gonna be here. We could’ve gotten him in 2011. Not this go around.

Muss was one of the first to not fill rosters. His NIL embracement is because he has money to throw around. Muss also just filled the roster because he’s hoping NIL money will keep the kids not playing this year happy. There is a strong chance that it blows up in his face this year.

As far as Ben, he is ok with NIL, he’s not ok with one guy making a ton and the others not. He wants it to be pretty equal for locker room dynamics. He also doesn’t have it to throw around like SEC schools do yet

Likely significant NIL. SEC football revenue. Walmart $. Coaches don’t spend their own money.

Muss was the hire we should of had instead of Pitino. His name was being mentioned and I believe he was even interviewed.

Arkansas has some of the nicest facilities in the country, probably have the best baseball facilities top to bottom, there's a lot of booster money there, just like there is across the SEC. Between Jerry Jones, Wal-Mart, Tyson's, there's a lot booster money coming form those directions. With all due respect it's absurd for anyone to think we are on equal footing with them in that regard, we have a loan out against ourselves for the Athlete's village. It doesn't matter if Muss recruits could get into the U, the kids he's pulling in wouldn't consider us even with Muss because we just aren't anywhere near that dollar stratosphere. Doesn't mean Muss couldn't figure it out with lesser rated recruits, but it's a lot easier to recruit his three burgers as he tweeted out when you can throw top dollars at them. Muss would have taken job when we hired Pitino, I doubt he would have taken it in 2019 and he certainly was not leaving Arkansas for us after 2021
