STrib: Gophers' RB Cobb tests hamstring; unlikely to play vs. Badgers

Obviously Cobb is a big time back but there has always been one big flaw with him - break away speed. I hope berkley can hit a hole and take an 80 yarder to the house.

My biggest concern is in the passing game. Cobb has great hands and is unbelievable in the screen game.

SKI-U-MAH!!!

Can Cobb still carry the Axe around the stadium on a bad hammy? I think he can.

Read option with Berkeley is going to tear the Badgers apart

Hopefully Cobb will be at full strength when we play Ohio State next week.

Coach Kill still playing it close to the vest re: Cobb, but has backed off a bit, and is saying they will move him around during pre-game to see if he can go.

Hopefully Cobb will be at full strength when we play Ohio State next week.

Kill just said on BTN that Cobb has improved and they will see how he does in pregame warm ups. The lady interviewing commented that Cobb must have made a big improvement and Kill acknowledged that.

Hands up. Don't shoot.

I like this image:

We win.

But rather than sprinting to the end zone for the axe, the whole team slowly--slowly--walks behind David.

I wonder if we could be looking at a Bo Whitley, Pineapple Bowl type situation here. It worked for the Screaming Eagles against Wisconsin, why not us?

I've got a very unreliable source that tells me Cobb is good to go.

Was listening to Justin G. interview Kill this morning (from I think Wednesday or Thursday.) Anyway, Kill was going with the really unlikely he'll play angle, but he was hedging enough with the you never know that made me think we'll see Cobb.

I think the cold can unfortunately tighten his hamstring up.

David Cobb is going to start for the Gophers today.
