per Joe:

Buffalo Wild Wings is headquartered in Minneapolis. This is the first year the company has sponsored the Citrus Bowl, and the Gophers somehow landed a spot in it, giving them their first New Year’s Day bowl berth since 1962.

Conspiracy buffs might wonder if the Minnesota-based company pulled some strings.

“It’s coincidental because we have no role in picking the teams that play in the game,” Bob Ruhland, the company’s vice president of North American marketing said.

Go Gophers!!

Hard to believe the "coincidental" line. For anybody who has seen a Buffalo Wild Wings commercial, you know somebody somewhere pushed a button to get this done.

I'm sure they had nothing to do with it.

Yet, if Tax Slayer were headquartered in downtown Saint Paul, the Gophers absolutely would have been playing in the Gator Bowl last year.

The quote they left out:

"However, we do have control over the food that the Missouri team ate while at one of our restaurants in Orlando."
