Will anyone be storming the court on sunday if we win.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves...

...but yes!!!

I believe storming of the court is over-done and should be done far less then it is. But this is #1, so hell yes! But please, be careful. If anyone gets thrown off the court and injured, the U Admin. will likely disband the program pending a full review.;)

23-0, the last of the unbeatens and the clearcut #1, I would say yes. If anything deserved a storming of the court, that would be it.

it would definitely be more deserving of a court storming than Indiana fans storming the court after their big win vs. Illinois :)

NO!!!!!!! We're a top 25 team playing another ranked team at home. Show some respect for who we are, a team that should expect to beat teams when they come in to our house.

umm, are you serious?

I'm up in the air on the court storm. Partying very hard afterwards in celebration is definitely OK in my book.

I'm all for the students storming the court. Sorry though, but I think this was brought up a few years ago, I don't remember for what, and the U put out a statement effectively putting the kabosh on it.

Maybe someone else remembers?

Usually I agree, but first off, we lose this game we're out of the top 25, second, they're #1, 23-0, everyone's waiting for them to fall, and we're the ones that pull it off? I'm not saying you have to, but I wouldn't be shaking my head at it. It would be a HUGE win for this program, given all the circumstances of this year.

Super Bowl Sunday.. kids are going to be inchoherent.. you can stop a certain amount of kids from storming the court, but not a couple thousand

I WILL be stomring the court if we win. At least we're not Indiana and feel the need to RTC every Big 10 win.

As long as they didn't put the kibosh on it, I say go for it. Don't think any schools look favorably on it. I'd join the kids if I weren't afraid that even the 70 year old security guards could catch me. Plus, it's been a long time since I've hopped up onto the floor - probably couldn't make it anymore without stairs.

the last time we stormed the court in a home game with OSU the game wasn't even over, we lost , several OSU players went to the hospital and some Gophers were banned for the season....some called it jungle ball, Luke Witte called it spit fest and 'I stomp on your head'.

When was this? You're not referring to the BasketBrawl, are you?

I'm not a big fan of court-storming, but I'd love to see one Sunday afternoon. That would mean the Gophers assured themselves of being the second-biggest sports story on SportsCenter. I could live with beating #1 & playing second fiddle to the Super Bowl.

While not official, off the record Joel Maturi has made it known he will do anything to stop this storming the court thing from happening. The refs have been advised and will make their calls accordingly if the game goes down to the wire and it looks like we might win. Don't you wonder about the new Buffalo Wild Wings just next door? They even advertise that they will tamper with the game if need be. Joel has an elaborate signal system set up with the bartender.
Our only hope is to create a diversion. Gopherlady needs to fake that she has spotted Bill Self in the stands and lead a rabid group to the fake Bill and pretend to beg for autographs. Bleed needs tell the security guards they need to rescue Mr. Self. Dr. Don needs to go next door and get the bartender drunk and SOMEONE needs to do the old jedi mind trick on the refs in the final minute - "This is not the team you want to lose".

It could happen.

You had me believing at, "Maturi will do anything to stop"...

I envsion him taking the PA microphone and channeling Bob Casey in 2001 saying 'this is a big game! Now quit this or we will forfeight!' even though the game will be over in this case.
