Go Gophers!!

He also seems pretty quick for an object not in motion. He has a motor... ask one of our QBs

I understand he was a bit under the radar because of is height. He lists 6' 1" and 291 pounds with long arms. With his short stature and power, he'll win quite a few leverage battles when the opposing big galoots try to go low on him. Great get for coach Kill!

I would think arm length would be more important than actual height. I guess he'll knock down less passes with his head

Richardson appears to be our resident "fire hydrant".

You got that right Doc. He is sure is a lot more than a squirt!

At the practice on Tuesday, the 6th, I was standing next to Ryan Burns and Joe Christensen and as he is running by he wishes Ryan "Happy Birthday", giving him a big smile. It was a great day for me too because my third granddaughter was born earlier that day. :)

Hey, I have five surviving grandsons. Wanna arrange a wedding??? :cool02:

My youngest grandson is 5, is that too much of an age differential?

Exciting/worrying development.

He's a frosh right?

Your point? All freshman should be redshirted, or our other players suck? Which angle are you taking this time?

The best players play, and sometimes that's a 19 year old kid. Doesn't reflect on anything else at all.

Studmeister sometimes brings things up as food for thought. That's why we are starving.

When I first read about this kid I wondered why in the world are we the only high major program offering him a scholarship. His build, explosiveness, and energy have the makings of a match-up nightmare for interior o-linemen. I'm really glad other school were focused on his lack of stature. As long as he can take the punishment and not wear down too much.I believe he will be the steal of the '14 class.

He's got the potential to be the next Aaron Donald at the next level.

Defensive line is a position that typically requires quite a bit of physical maturity (unlike, say, WR or RB, where you can come right in and contribute).

One of the open secrets last year is that we were kind of soft up the middle. At least at times. It pains me to say that.

We will be a lot stronger up the middle this year, and yes, I know who graduated. Our front 7 will be a significant improvement. I don't say that lightly.

Soft up the middle? Try telling whisky and pigs eye that!

Oh wait, I guess they kind of had their way with us. Like a drunk coed at a frat party!

We were fine up the middle but not great on the edges.

Our edges will be better this year too. The new Campbell and Lynn keep the speed and add muscle. Our corners will be more stout as well. Our DEs stronger and more experienced. I think our D brings us 8 wins and the O will determine if we in 9 or 10.

Not long ago our CBs were 165-180 pounds. Times be a changin' in Maroon and Gold.

+1 I've been excited about him for a while now.
