Weather.com reporting a 60% chance of rain and a high of 48. I love the Gophers but there is no chance I go with that weather. Yuck.

Accuweather.com reporting a high of 52 with a low of 32 (WHICH IS WARMER THAN THE MSU GAME LAST YEAR) however a chance of rain mixed with snow.

Average high for that date is 63 with a low of 42..

The Weather Channel put out a video in March about how this would be a warmer than average April for the Upper Midwest. Still no backtracking on their behalf.

The report has moved like crazy for that day. The initial long term forecast for that day was 72. Now its 48. Yuck.

I don't care if it's 20 and blowing snow. I will be there.

Hey! That is the best weather we have had in a long time.

Complete 180 it looks like! Now looking like 59 and sunny!

The chances of them being right a week out is less than 50%. Haven't we learned anything from the last three months?

Yup, catch the Spring Game and be home in time to drill through 2 feet of ice and slush for pre-spawn crappies. 3 feet of ice on Gull Lake as of today.

I'm going to be there long enough to complain about people standing up in front of me and then leave about 3/4 of the way through the scrimmage to beat traffic.

Glad to see that you are taking advantage of spring practice to be in mid season form for the first regular game of the season. Thanks for the laugh.

Love it. Well done.

ruppert, if you are gonna dig thru two feet of ice, and the ice is three feet, you ain't gonna catch many fish. :)

Don't live on Gull. Two smaller lakes ( Fawn and Edna) And I did say" As of today " Gull has 3 feet
I'm sure that won't be the case a week from now.

Just joshing ya on the two feet/three feet thing. Once the melt starts, it goes in a hurry, so be safe on the ice.

Nice! A toasty 70 degrees for this Saturday's Spring Game: Per The Weather Channel

Hope the 70 to 73 degree forecast holds. They are calling for the 60's on Friday. Either way, it looks like this Saturday should be a pretty swell day to gather up the Gopher loving family/kids and head out to do some morning/afternoon tailgating and watch the Gopher Spring Game at the stadium.

Hope to see you all there tailgating and then heading in to watch the Spring Game action/festivities, as well as the Alumni Flag Football game.

Go Gophers!

Huh. Just two days ago:

Weather.com reporting a 60% chance of rain and a high of 48. I love the Gophers but there is no chance I go with that weather. Yuck.

I love how science shows us what the weather will be 10-20 years from now, but not a week from now.

I don't worry about the weather. I'll be there with my two boys, and 3 of their friends. They are super jacked since we got field passes for the game.

I hope we can pull a great crowd. Is 4,000 realistic?

C'mon...this is MN....give it till Saturday for a forecast.

Don't forget to come and watch the Alumni Game before the game! It should be a great day for Gopher Fans!

agreed. also looking forward to the alumni game before the spring game. plan on tailgating, catching the alumni game and the spring game. a nice little trifecta on what is looking to be a beautiful 70 degree and sunny saturday in minneapolis.

I knew a guy in Dubuque, IA who ran a weather forecasting service for radio stations. He told me once that, when he prepared a forecast, he was fairly confident in being accurate for a 24 to 48-hour period, but beyond 48 hours, he said no one could really say with any certainty what the weather was going to be like. So when people put out these 7 to 10-day forecasts, he used to just laugh. He said you could pull a forecast out of a hat and have an equal chance of being right. (of course, this was a few years ago, so the science and/or equipment has probably improved since then.)

Have fun at the game, everyone. (I have to freakin' go to Sioux Falls.........)
