Sadly, we won't see anymore gems like the one where Soup Can went after Kill for having epilepsy.

Wasn't he feeding the public positive spin stories about the Twins after Tom Pohlad demanded the local media stop printing negative stories? If so, maybe there was a journalistic ethics complaint?

At least, Aaron Gleeman had a spine and quit in protest over that demand from the Twins.

Congratulations to him. I hope to follow him in the next three years. I'm actually hoping to get laid off next year.

Is it at the point where you hope to get laid off because you get a giant severance that equals a year or two of pay? If so, here's hoping you score.
I know two people that happened to when they planned to retire in a couple of months! They came out way ahead.

I also know a few people that used that to great advantage, even well before retirement.

It is crazy how he worked for 36 years in the local market and when I hear his name I think of the Kill incident.
There's an old joke about the accomplishments of a certain Scottish craftsman and the amazing work he's done, that ends with the punchline:

"But you (colloquial use of the term fornicate) one goat......

And that's how everyone remembers you.

Our adult son has epilepsy and it is not something I would wish on anyone.

Despite his boorishly bad behavior towards Kill, his final column was interesting.

There are a lot of reasons I quit reading the Strib. Souhan wasn't good as a reporter. He was a terrible columnist. The whole outfit seemed run in similar fashion.

You serious, Clark? Gleeman quit because the Athletic/NYT wanted him to cover other sports instead of the Twins.
