I know they were down for football last fall until OSU won the national title.

Yep. The Big Ten was down in both football and basketball.

Humorous (and sad) to listen to many of the same people who whined about UCLA's wins not meaning they deserved to be the tourney also say that because of the success of two Big Ten teams it means the conference was great this season.
