Sophie Hart talks about playing for her hometown team.

She was a difference maker and had a great final season. I really love to hear a player talk about the “ joy “ of playing for MN. It tells me that in addition to overall team improvements Coach P is inspiring her players

May have shown the greatest year to year improvement over her time here as any player in recent history. May not be an All-American, but she sure made a lot of plays for the Gophers this season. Not much flash, but seemed to just put her head down and get the job done. A lot to be said for players like that. Those types of people seem to do very well when they hit the real world after college.

This senior class of Gophers and the team did something special, they will hang a banner in Williams arena that had not been done in two decades next fall. It may hurt now, by not advancing, but they left a legacy and created some great memory's. This is a team years from now that many of us will still remember very fondly for beinging back the pride of wearing the Minnesota uniform. In a few years young Minneosta girls, will want to be like Sophie Hart, Amaya Battle, all of them. That means you left an imprint and stamped the groundwork for future success. Kudos Gophers.

Girls are shooting in gyms and driveways right now pretending to be Battle and hitting game winners.

That’s all my nearly 8 year old has been doing since last week, it’s so awesome! She’s very sad Brylee Glenn isn’t going to be on the team next year though, she absolutely loved her and Brylee got her all excited about playing defense. I can’t recommend Coach P’s Lil Gophers enough if you’ve got kids, by the way. My kiddo would just go nuts when the player letters would arrive.

It's all about the creating in young girls in our state, and elsewhere, the desire to desire and long for...

Still waiting to hear what Sophie had for an injury on her knee....she is tough as nails the last two months....the wrap and brace made it look like a serious knee injury she played through.

Pretty sure it is completely up to her as to whether she or the school can or should release details about her physical injury to the public. Medical privacy rules and such. She, nor the the school, is under any obligation to tell us what she was dealing with. Obviously, if she chooses to try and continue her playing career as a pro, the team will likely give her a physical. But again, neither she nor her possible employer will be under any obligation to tell the general public about her physical condition or possible problems.

The second thought that came to mind was, "Why in the world would that be any of my business, since I'm in no way connected to her as either a family member, close personal friend or possible employer?"

With all the money involved in college ball now, we’re going to get much less information than we ever had before. No one wants to reveal the seriousness of an injury and understandably so.
